T

he École Centrale Lyon Challenge is the biggest event organized by our students. It brings together more than 2,500 students from 40 French and international schools for sports tournaments.

In 2021, health conditions did not allow the event to be held in its original format. However, the exceptional situation did not discourage our student organizers, who showed creativity and innovation by proposing an E-Challenge, a remote competition based on video games. A conclusive test that allowed them to maintain the event and to invite a large number of participants in complete safety.

Two months before the Challenge 2022, the health situation is still fragile but we hope to experience the event in person and the entire organizing team is working towards this goal with optimism and determination.

Knowing how to adapt and deal with complex situations in a changing world is one of the challenges of a Centrale engineer. I know that our students will know how to surpass themselves and find the appropriate solutions to make the 2022 edition exceptional.

May this sporting event continue to convey the values of humanism and diversity that we hold dear.

I am counting on you to wear the colors of your schools loud and clear.

Long live the Challenge 2022!
